Nora Shabani

Nora Shabani is Education Specialist at UNICEF Geneva, Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia. In this role, she supports the UNICEF’s regional quality and inclusive education programme and provides support to 21 UNICEF country offices in their engagement in education reforms with focus on children with disabilities and other marginalized and vulnerable groups. This includes areas of advocacy, policy development, teacher education, and cross-sectoral collaboration. Additionally, Nora is the regional focal point for children with disabilities and in this capacity supports programming for assistive technology across sectors. Prior to joining the Regional Office, she was the Education Specialist in the UNICEF Istanbul Bureau and UNICEF North Macedonia country office for 17 years.
