Aldona is a speech and language therapist specialized in AAC, certified SLT of the Hanen® programs (aimed to support parents and other important persons in child’s environment to promote language and communication development), one of the founder and long-time coordinator of the Early AAC Intervention team at Special School No. 327 in Warsaw. She conducts AAC training and consultations in Poland and abroad.
Since 1997 she has been associated with the International Society of Alternative and Augmentative Communication ISAAC, in the years 2014-2018 she was the chair-elect and chair of the ISAAC Council, and in the years 2018-2022 she was the president of the Association “Mówić bez Słów”- ISAAC Polska. She collaborates with professionals and people who use AAC from different countries and cultural areas, participates and presents in local and international conferences on AAC.
